Our Innagural Tournament

Dear Friends and Supporters,​

 

We are filled with so much gratitude as we reflect on the incredible day we shared together on Monday, October 21st, 2024. The Madison J. Smith Memorial Golf Tournament was truly a success and such a special event for so many reasons, and we simply cannot thank you enough for your overwhelming support.​Your presence, love, and generosity not only helped us celebrate Madison’s life, but also allowed us to raise vital funds for two causes that are incredibly meaningful to us: Pediatric Colorectal Cancer and Rare Tumor Research, and the Madison J. Smith ’25 Memorial Scholarship at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.

 

​Thanks to your kindness, we are thrilled to share that we raised over $100,000 to support these efforts. We will be dividing the funds between Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C., where Madison’s oncologist, Dr. AeRang Kim, is on the forefront of groundbreaking research in childhood cancer, and Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, where the first recipient of the Madison J. Smith Memorial Scholarship will be a student in the incoming class of 2029. We will be sure to keep you updated when the scholarship is awarded!  We are so grateful to Dr. Kim and her team for the incredible work they are doing, and we are thrilled that every penny of the donations to the Pediatric Colorectal Cancer and Rare Tumor Research Fund will go directly to research, with no overhead costs.
