2nd Annual Tournament

Thank you for making the 2nd Annual Madison J. Smith Memorial Golf Tournament such a meaningful and inspiring day. Your participation—whether as a golfer, attendee, sponsor, or volunteer—beautifully honored Madison’s spirit, and we are deeply grateful for your love and generosity.

 

Your support allows us to continue funding Pediatric Colorectal Cancer and Rare Tumor Research at Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C., as well as the Madison J. Smith ’25 Memorial Scholarship at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. This year we raised $85,000 for these causes. With less than 6% of federal cancer funding directed to pediatric cancers, your contributions play a vital role in helping Dr. AeRang Kim and the research team move new treatments into clinical trials—especially for ultra-rare diseases like pediatric colorectal cancer. Every dollar given to the research fund goes directly to research, with no overhead.

 

At Good Counsel, the Madison J. Smith Memorial Scholarship is already making a difference, providing our inaugural recipient—a female athlete in the Class of 2029—with a $5,000 annual award throughout high school.
